The Leadership class at Laurel
Hill School recently helped out with fire prevention activities |

Jennifer
Franklin, LHS

The students participated in various activities to assist the firefighters
with the day’s events including assembling fire hats for the elementary
students. |
Tabatha Henderson, one of
the leadership students, is actually a volunteer firefighter. She is seen
here in this photo dressed in her fire-gear, ready to go into a fire. I
asked Tabatha why she was getting into her gear and she said, “Sometimes
the fire-gear frightens children. It is important that they see a
firefighter get dressed in their gear so that they won’t be afraid if we
go into their home to rescue them.” Great job, Tabatha!
